With a long spring and summer baseball season ending, and the start of fall baseball it is important to keep young players healthy and safe. Not just for their youths, but for the rest of their lives.

Just a few facts from Pitch Smart - USA Baseball

-pitching 100+ innings over the year leads to a 3.5x more likelihood of injury

-playing(pitching) 8+ months over the year leads to 5x more likely chance of injury

-pitching on consecutive days increases injury risk by 2.5x

-playing multiple positions with excessive throwing (catcher, SS) increases your arm injury risk 2.7x

I got into strength and conditioning of baseball players because I wanted to help athletes become the best versions of themselves, reach their maximum potential and give them something I didn't have while playing. I now see that it goes much further than just the diamond. We as coaches, players and parents need to make sure young baseball kids live happy and healthy lives.

Was nice having all the fellas back for a little bit. Always good to see these guys. Love seeing their hard work pay off. Looking forward to seeing their successes on the field, and in life.

You guys make it all worth it. I'll take a family over an army any day.

If you're looking for a challenging lower finisher give this one a try (video was from my deload week - only 20 reps).

You will need a foam roller and grab two 16kg kettlebells (35lbs).

Rules are: once you start you can not stop, 50 reps completed before leaving the wall, kettlebells have to touch the floor each rep.

Complements to the Chef for throwing me this jelly leg maker.

Got to get out and see my dude work this weekend. I haven't sat down and watched a live soccer match in some time. It was a lot of fun seeing his hard work put to use.

And, there was this guy there too.

I can't believe you two are about to graduate soon. Proud of both you, and can't wait to see what future successes you have.

The man, the myth, the legend getting it done.

Big bang for your buck arm care exersice.

Body saw on a foam roller.

core work ✔
serratus anterior ✔
Scapular pattern ✔

Just make sure you keep your core braced and not flair your ribs. Still a work in progress, but the feedback after two weeks has been great.

It is not as easy as it looks .rosado10

The Tri State Arsenal PA boys brought some hardware home over the weekend. Each age group has been working hard over the last few months. Love seeing their hard work pay off.

Proud of all the work the boys put in.

Half kneeling banded thoracic rotations.

rosado10 has pretty good thoracic mobility, but lacks a little bit of control at the end range. His arm starts to reach back with the ball sliding forward in the socket and lose some core control. So, I gave him the band to really focus on getting to the end range each time consistently and under control.

Got to earn your stability.
