We have a ton of FFA activities this week so our greenhouse schedule is as follows:
Monday. 11:30-4:00
Tuesday. Closed
Wednesday. 8-12
Thursday. 8-4
Friday Closed
Saturday 9-11

Still plenty of great plants left! Mother's Day is this weekend!

Alyssa Turner was the High point individual in the Delta FFA virtual horse judging contest recently. Congrats!

The Newton FFA horse judging team of Mia VanZante, Alyssa Turner, and Heather Hanson was the champion team at the Central Trail Classic in Leon today. The team was led by Mia in 2nd place and Alyssa in 3rd. Way to go!

We had an absolute blast at the 98th State Leadership Convention!
Results are as follows:

- Poultry- Gold rating- 11th out of 133 teams
- Farm Business Management- Gold Rating- 13th out 111 teams
- Ag Impact- SIlver Rating
- National Chapter Award- Bronze Rating
- 3 Iowa Degree Recipients

- State Band and Choir Members

Thank you to all of those who helped make this trip a success for us! The kids put in many hours of work and it is awesome to see them be so successful!

On Thursday, we attended the Youth Swine Judging Competition hosted by the Iowa Pork Producers Association! Results below:

Team 4: McKenzie (39th overall), Gaby (51st overall), Irason —> 17th overall team!!
Team 5: Brooke, Emily, Sadie, Rayn- 99th overall team
Team 7: Emma, Lexi, Payton, Layla- 72nd overall team
Team 8: Braleigh, Izabella, Cameron - 128th team

Indianapolis was treated us well!!

FFA members watched general sessions hearing great retiring addresses, attended workshops learning new skills to bring back to our chapter, and watched 2 members receive their American FFA Degree.

It was a great week with lots of laughs and learning!
