Due to the extreme heat, the Cooper Center will be open on July 3 and July 4.
The building is air-conditioned, and anyone looking for a cool spot is welcome on Friday, July 3, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturday, July 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CRYSTAL LAKE WILL REOPEN THURSDAY MORNING!

We just received the results of the second water test from Crystal Lake - the levels are safe and the beach will reopen tomorrow morning on its regular weekday schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A huge thank you to Parks & Recreation Deputy Commissioner Mark Kelly who yesterday drove to the testing lab in Connecticut to pick up testing materials, and to Commissioner Marc Welch who delivered the samples to the lab today to expedite this process.
