Ann L. Kohan, affectionately known as Annie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, in Champion, Ohio. Born on January 5, 1955, in Warren, Ohio, Annie lived a life marked by love, adventure, and generosity. She was a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who knew her.

Annie's education journey began at Newton Falls High School and later flourished as she pursued higher education at Kent State University and the University of California. Her passion for learning and growth was evident in her professional life, where she dedicated 25 years as an Office Manager at Environ, a role in which she excelled and was deeply respected.

Annie married her beloved husband, Bernie Leitch, and together they shared a life filled with laughter and joy. She was a cherished sister to Paula (Raymond) Filkorn and Dennis Kohan. Her love extended to her nieces, Sarah Filkorn and Katie (Phil) Bednar; her stepsons, John (Emily) Leitch and Michael (Megan) Leitch; her granddaughters, Zora and Josephine; and her great-nephew and niece, Bryce and Taylor. Each family gathering was brightened by Annie's presence, and her love for her faithful dog, Hannah, was a testament to her nurturing spirit.

Special thanks to our caregivers from Jodis Angels LLC, Jodi, Sierra & Katrina.

A devout Christian, Annie lived her faith through her actions, always putting others before herself and radiating a kindness that touched everyone she met. Her interests were a reflection of her vibrant personality; she was a fabulous cook whose culinary creations were the highlight of many family events. Annie's love for a good game of cards, a round of golf, a trip to the Casino and her passion for travel allowed her to make cherished memories with friends and family alike. She had a unique eye for Christmas decorations, each piece a memento from the places she had visited, adding a touch of the world to her home.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Annie will remember her for the love she so freely gave and the adventures she so eagerly embarked upon. She was the embodiment of generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand or share what she had with others. Her joyous spirit and ability to make everyone feel loved will be deeply missed.

Annie's life was a beautiful tapestry of the relationships she nurtured, the experiences she savored, and the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. As we bid farewell to Annie, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey well-traveled, and a heart that was truly one of a kind. Ann L. Kohan will be held in loving memory by her family, friends, and all who were graced by her presence. Her light, though no longer with us in body, will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she loved.
