Both SER and ESTAR mean "to be" in Spanish… so why can't you use them interchangeably? 🤔

Because this happens:
❌ "Es rico" → He's rich
✅ "Está rico" → It's delicious

Say the wrong one about your friend's paella and you've just called the chef wealthy. 😅

In our new video, Claudia and Bruna catch up on moving day — boxes everywhere, coffee brewing — and you'll hear ser and estar exactly how native speakers use them in a real, casual conversation. Then we break it all down:

🔵 SER = what something IS (identity, origin, who it belongs to)
🟢 ESTAR = how something IS right now (mood, location, condition)

The simplest rule to remember: if you can FEEL it or FIND it, use ESTAR.
