The CEC TriBots kicked off there competition season this past Saturday at Ola High School for the VEX Spooktacular. It was an exciting and challenging day for all 3 teams.

Team 95E (Adalynn Jordan, Zione’ Adams, Joel Dorasami, and Zachary Fishery) finished qualification matches in 16th place with a 2-4 record. Team 95 T (Karen Nozaki, Bree Knight, Harrison Ratzlaff, and Kardell Young) finished qualification matches in 18th place with a 1-5 record.

95M was selected by Team 98881B from St. Pius X Catholic High School to be a part of the #6 alliance for the Tournament. Unfortunately they lost their match in the round of 16.

95E captained the #9 alliance and selected 95T as their partner. They won their match against the #8 seed in the round of 16 but lost in the quarterfinals to the #1 seed team who eventually won the tournament.

Team 95T won the Judges Award at the tournament, based on their Engineering Design Notebook which documents their entire design, build and programming process, and the team interview. Comments from the judges included the synergy of the group and their openness to receive constructive feedback.

Being the Spooktacular, there was a costume contest. 95E won the Award for Best Team Costume, they dressed as the 90’s decade.

Congratulation to all of the TriBots for an outstanding day. They continue to make us proud with their professionalism and sportsmanship. Several of the judges, referees, and other workers at the tournament commented specifically about how well our teams act and continually represent CEC.

Congratulations to Pam Brown and her teams! Next competition is Saturday, December 2 at the CEC. Come join us!!

The CEC TriBots is a co-curricular competition group, sponsored through the Engineering and Technology Department and open to team members from all three base high schools (Newnan, East Coweta and Northgate). During the course of a school year the TriBots participate in between five and eight different activities ranging from robotics to engineering problem solving and starting as early as late August and finishing up as late as the end of April. In order to pay the fees associated with these various activities we conduct one primary fundraiser a year and that is what this is about, our annual Vidalia Sweet Onions and Condiments fundraiser.

If you are interested in ordering some of the BEST Vidalia Sweet Onions and Condiments you have ever had please PM me your email address and I will send you an order form or go to www.alturl.com/ppg32 and download a form for yourself.

The onions we offer through our fundraiser are
 Grade A meaning they have no nicks or cuts in them
 They come straight to us from Bland Farms one of the oldest family run farms in the Vidalia region. Our onions are so fresh they typically come out of the ground just days before we pick them up.
 Pound for Pound our onions are fresher and better than what you will find in the typical supermarket

If onions are not your thing then please consider ordering one of the Vidalia Brand Condiments we are offering. The Peach Salsa is off the chain while the Special Blend Seasoning Salt is a real treats.

Your ordering from us helps to support the CEC TriBots and our future as we continue to offer team members opportunities to participate in Engineering related afterschool activities.

PS … please feel free to SHARE this information with all of our friends or anyone who enjoys a good Vidalia Sweet Onion.
