1️⃣ Most people think childhood wounds come from obvious pain.
The yelling.
The neglect.
The broken homes.
But sometimes the wound is much quieter.
You had food, clothes, and a roof over your head.
Yet you can’t remember your mother stepping into your world just to enjoy being with you.
2️⃣ No games on the floor.
No imaginary adventures.
No laughing until neither of you noticed the time.
Maybe she was exhausted.
Maybe life was hard.
Maybe nobody did that for her either.
But the child inside you didn’t understand the reasons.
Only the absence.
3️⃣ Years later, someone wants to be close to you.
To cuddle.
To play.
To simply enjoy your company.
And it feels strange.
Because attention without a purpose feels unfamiliar.
Because you learned that love was responsibility, not joy.
4️⃣ Healing begins when you stop calling yourself cold.
You may not be distant.
You may simply be learning a language nobody taught you.
The language of feeling loved without having to earn it.
Follow if this feels close to you. Here, we speak for real.
I wrote a book about breaking procrastination at its root.
