The SC Clay Conference is for professional and amature clay artists The Newberry Arts Center* is the home of the South Carolina Clay Conference.

Held annually in February this conference is for professional and amateur clay artists. The conference also hosts one of the largest displays of South Carolina clay art available for sale. www.southcarolinaclayconference.com

We hope you will join us for this presentation. It introduces the Endangered Species Project, a long-term artwork exploring our relationship to the natural world. Artist Julia Galloway is creating over 1,000 hand-made ceramic urns, each depicting a species in the United States. The project invites curiosity and reflection — offering a quiet space to think about conservation and the value of making as an act of appreciation. Trained as a potter, Julia uses her skills as a master craftsman to bring attention to our changing relationship with the natural world.
