LC Forward is a community-based process to create a coordinated and data-driven integrated growth strategy for Licking County. Join the Community Conversations—an interactive workshop this June where you can share your perspectives and ideas for the County moving forward.

COTC is evolving its approach to selling or leasing a portion of its Coshocton Campus facility, partnering with local brokerage Howard Hanna while continuing to showcase a commitment to remaining in the community.

“While we’re rightsizing our footprint, we’re equally focused on strengthening our long-term presence and impact in Coshocton,” said John M. Berry, PhD, COTC president. "These efforts are about sustaining and enhancing our commitment — not reducing it."

That vow is also exhibited by COTC’s expansion of its Coshocton Promise program earlier this year. The program provides free tuition for new, current and returning students who live in Coshocton County and have an annual household income worth $100,000 or less.

Two leaders representing COTC are now graduates of a statewide leadership academy.

Eric Veigel, PhD, dean of strategic partnerships and community engagement, and Amanda Snider, assistant director of advising and retention, recently graduated as fellows of the Ohio Leadership Academy for Student Success.

“It's an honor to congratulate Eric and Amanda as the newest graduates of this program,” said John M. Berry, PhD, COTC president. “We look forward to seeing how those two talented leaders continue to champion student success and shape the future of COTC.”

A decade of honoring a hero, keeping a legacy alive, and recognizing the absolute best among us. 💙

The May Peace Officer Basic Training (POBT) graduation marked the 10th anniversary of the Officer Thomas W. Cottrell, Jr. Award for Character and Dedication to Public Service. Established in partnership with Thomas’s loved ones after he was tragically killed in the line of duty, this award is the highest honor a COTC police academy cadet can achieve.

The award isn't just about high test scores, it’s about heart, integrity and extraordinary respect for others. In ten years, out of all the cadets who have walked through our doors, Skyler Roberts became only the 28th person to ever receive it.

To Skyler and the 27 exceptional alumni who came before you, thank you for carrying Officer Cottrell’s legacy forward into our communities.
