The Scholastic Discovery Fair is Here! Get ready for a STEAM-powered adventure that inspires reading and hands-on learning in science, technology, art, math, and more. The book fair starts on Monday, April 20th. There is a family shopping time on Thursday evening during Multicultural Night.

Meet Lauren Decker, McVey Elementary School’s 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year!

Lauren Decker has been a part of the Christina School District for 3 years and overall has 23 years of teaching experience. She has taught at the middle and high school level, the majority of her career has been spent teaching elementary physical education.

A little fun fact: She has two daughters and enjoys spending time outside and exercising!
