Meet Adrienne VanKerkhoven, Jennie E. Smith Elementary School ’s 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year!
Adrienne VanKerkhoven has been a part of the Christina School District for 22 years. She found her love for 5th grade in 2004 and has been teaching this grade ever since!
A little fun fact: She is petrified of house cats and she has an absolute weakness for Haribo gummy bears!

As part of a statewide effort to upgrade our student information systems, Christina School District is switching over to the new Infinite Campus platform. During this transition, we won’t be able to process registrations for the 2025-2026 school year. We anticipate the new system will be fully operational by the end of the month.

Jennifer Jankowksi has been a part of the Christina School District for 17 years and in education for 26. She has taken on several leadership roles and is currently teaching Kindergarten.
