The Yurok Tribe has some mighty good fishing back in their future, after 100 years of dammed up water and massive fish kills caused by water contamination caused by stagnant waters, due to damming. What will the future hold for those downstream from the removed dam? Well, I will say, building or living on flood plains will be much more foolhardy, and roads will probably have to be raised above flood level to deal with inundation during rainy seasons. And electricity for those who do NOT have solar power, or generators will be more expensive. However, it will be very interesting to see HOW the removal of the Dams (4, in fact) will improve quality of life for folks downstream of the Dams, once folks figure out NOT to build on floodplains, unless they're on floatable, moving pylons with pontoons that change in height as the water rises.
