Mr. Angelo and Ms. Rodriguez’s physics class participated in a Make-A-Thon event through Monday.com where students had to pitch their products to a panel of judges. Teams Aura Mood and Synapse Wearables developed their products, 3D printed prototypes and presented their products to the judges. While at the competition, they had to vibe-code a virtual assistant which was used to inform customers about their products. Their products were modeled down a runway by the teachers. It was a great experience and the kids had a blast!

On Thursday, May 14th the 10th grade AVID elective completed their final visit to PS 54. Over the past year they have made 4 visits to the school and visited the same classes. They created and implemented lessons, bonded with the students, and made a difference in the Staten Island community. The students at both schools are sad that this was their final visit for the school year.
