From the classroom to the studio 🚀 Instructor Daniel Kaiser took his AUD102/112 students out of the classroom and into one of New York’s most iconic studios Quad Recording Studios NYC.

Students got to tour the four control rooms and live rooms, learn about the studio’s rich history, and hear their final projects played back in Quad’s world-famous A-room “Q-1”.

Last week, we had two incredible guest speakers in the building, and the energy spoke for itself. 🔥

➡️ On Tuesday, May 12th, Justin Prager joined us for a conversation on the convergence of audio and visual storytelling in today's music industry. Drawing from over 20 years at Vevo, MTV, and Universal Music Group, he broke down how branding, audience engagement, and content discovery are shaping the way music is made, marketed, and experienced. The students were locked in from start to finish.

➡️ On Thursday, May 14th, entertainment attorney Wallace Collins brought an equally powerful session on what it really means to protect yourself as a creator, covering copyrights, trademarks, contracts, and the long-game thinking it takes to build a sustainable career in entertainment.

Two days. Two industry veterans. One very engaged room.

This week, we welcomed DJ Win to our campus for an engaging workshop on DJing with vinyl in today’s digital world. 💿

He covered key topics like song composition, the importance of staying organized, and understanding your equipment. Students had the opportunity to practice transitions and dig through the “crate,” gaining hands-on experience with track selection.
