The reviews are in 🌟 thank you and

“On Friday, April 10, SoriDari’s concert “Across Generations: A Concert of Artistic Collaboration,” held at the Korean Cultural Center New York, concluded successfully amid enthusiastic audience response. The event drew significant attention, with reservations fully booked a week in advance, underscoring the high level of anticipation for the program.

Among the many memorable moments, one particularly meaningful experience was shared by a student who performed for composer Texu Kim and received both feedback and insights into the piece. This exchange left a lasting impression, highlighting how the program goes beyond performance to foster a living dialogue between creators and performers. It was a powerful embodiment of the value of “connection” that SoriDari seeks to cultivate.

The concert concluded with “Old Sounds” by Sooyeon Yeo, which captivated the audience with its evocative soundscape reminiscent of traditional Korean music. Experimental elements—including the use of a jing (traditional gong) midway through the piece—added a striking dimension, leaving a profound and lingering impression.“

Thank you for the feature article about our upcoming SoriDari concert 🙏🏼

On April 10, 2026, at 7:30 PM, the Korean Cultural Center New York and Andrew Park Foundation will present SoriDari: Across Generations | A Concert of Artistic Collaboration. This special concert brings together musicians of different generations on one stage, creating a space for meaningful artistic exchange and collaboration.

SoriDari is a newly launched program that provides a unique opportunity for Korean and Korean-American musicians ages 15 to 18 to rehearse and perform alongside professional artists as equal collaborators. Moving beyond the traditional teacher–student model, the program fosters artistic dialogue, shared responsibility, and genuine collaboration in a professional performance setting.

Selected through the Acceptd platform, this year’s SoriDari Young Artists include Aerie Lim (Violin), Gloria So One Kwon (Violin), Lucas Sunjoo Park (Viola), and Nicholas Kim (Cello). These young musicians will share the stage with SoriDari artists, bringing the program’s collaborative vision to life.

The concert features Artistic Director Yezu Woo, violinist Alex Fortes, violist Celia Hatton, and cellist Mihai Ma**ca, who will perform alongside the young artists in a program that bridges generations and musical perspectives.

The program highlights both classical masterworks and contemporary voices. In celebration of the 270th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the concert will include his String Quartets K. 387 and K. 465. The program also features works by Korean composers Texu Kim (Clear Creek) and Soo Yeon Lyuh (Yessori), reflecting a dialogue across cultures as well as generations.

The performance, presented as part of the “KCCNY Power Up” initiative—a program by the Korean Cultural Center New York to support and nurture emerging Korean artists—is free of charge. However, those wishing to attend must make a reservation in advance through the Cultural Center’s website (www.koreanculture.org) before entry.
