EVENT: Golden Era Sahara Dance Salon: a Vintage Belly Dance Brunch

Allow yourself to be swept away by the romantic allure of a dance for the ages. From 1,001 Arabian Nights to present day, belly dance (raqs sharqi) continues to captivate audiences with its timeless beauty and elegance. Sahara Dance, DC’s Center for Middle Eastern Dance, proudly partners with the beautiful Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club to present the Golden Era Sahara Dance Salon: a Vintage Belly Dance Brunch.

The venue is uniquely suited to showcase the rich colors and lavish ornamentation of the old-timey aesthetic of the Golden Era of belly dance.

Featuring: Live Middle Eastern music from Sahara Tabla * Raqs Sahara and Sahara Tribal * Ensemble performances by Sahara Dance companies * Faculty solos
