When women reach their mid-30s, their hormones naturally begin to decline as ovaries slowly lose their function, marking the start of a life stage called PERIMENOPAUSE.
This phase can last 2-14 years before MENOPAUSE at age 45-55. During this transitional period, 4 out of 5 women report being affected by at least one symptom.
The symptoms listed above are typical signs of declining calming progesterone, which decreases first. Later, energizing estrogen levels begin to decline and fluctuate, too, causing well-known symptoms such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, low libido, difficulty with problem-solving, crying spells, joint pain, migraines, and many others.
We almost forgot to mention late periods, delayed by several days or even weeks, which can cause stress over a potential pregnancy. When the period finally arrives, it is often heavy and painful.
Unfortunately, many doctors still lack awareness of these hormonal shifts, as they were not taught in medical school, leading to misdiagnosis and incorrect treatments such as ADHD medication, antidepressants (wrongly prescribed by 39% of doctors according to a UK survey), or dismissal as
“just aging.”
Although this process is a natural part of aging, you can manage the severity of hormonal fluctuations that cause symptoms and help prevent hormone levels from dropping too low.
HOW?
By massaging your ovaries. Hear me out.
If you’ve ever had a massage, you know therapists use different grips, directions, and limb positions to reach various muscles. Ovarian massage is similar, but you use specific belly movements and body positions to stimulate your ovaries, promoting production of healthy, balanced hormone levels.
Hormone Yoga is a 30-minute routine that does exactly this. Over the decades, the rapid relief Hormone Yoga provides has made it the #1 exercise for perimenopause and menopause in Brazil, Germany, and the Czech Republic-where many in-person classes are available, unlike in other parts of the world.
