My students ask me. " Have you ever taught anyone famous. " And when I tell them that Doug E. Fresh was in my chorus at Martin Luther King HS for one semester, their eyes light up like candles. Then I tell them that he has a lovely tenor voice. He used to come up after class and demonstrate beat boxing and ask me, " What do you Think?" I would tell him " Doug. I don't know but you should try. " The rest is history."
