THE BEAR has become one of the most lauded shows on TV over the last several years, and a lot of the hoopla has been about the Editing.
Lead Editor and Co-producer Joanna Naugle will share clips and stories from seasons 1-4, as well as from the hit show RAMY and other programs she’s edited. She’ll discuss specific editorial techniques in these shows, share lessons she’s learned along the way, and speak about her journey from film school to working in post in New York, ultimately becoming an award-winning, top editor for episodic television.
In conversation with Professor John David Allen.

Every day in cities across the country, hundreds of people are arrested for engaging in or offering consensual acts with adults.
Today a growing movement is demanding that consensual s*xual acts between adults be decriminalized, even when there is a monetary exchange. Advocates argue that this is the only way to reduce the harm experienced by people who engage in s*x work by choice or circumstance – and to protect those who are coerced into it, but fear turning to the police.
“Sex Work: It’s Just a Job” shares the voices of an incredibly diverse group of s*x workers discussing the ways in which they would benefit from decriminalization rather than current prohibitionist approaches including “end demand” or the “Nordic Model.”
Join us at 6:30PM on OCT. 8th in the Screening Room for a discussion of director Tami Kashia Gold’s new Film “Sex Work”. Inspired by Alex Vitale’s book, “The End Of Policing” Alex will be moderating a talkback with the director.
