This week's spotlight is on Moorea Friedmann an eleven year old published author, and the daughter of Betty Ng! Moorea is half Asian and proud of it. Her ten year old brother and co-author, Jasper, means the world to her.

Being fascinated with politics, she really wants to become President of the United States to create a better world. Sadly, Moorea will have to wait a bit. She is always begging her parents for a puppy, a kitten, or another cute, furry pet.

Not only did Moorea and Jasper write “Meet the Persevering Penguins and Pals”. They've released a second book, called “The Persevering Penguins and Pals”. Her cousin Emma illustrated both books.

What a great way to wrap up 2019! So proud that we were able to share our Penguins and Pals resources for social emotional learning with the S&P Global community. Inspired by the PO-LING POWER framework for propelling your authentic self and others to success, it's exciting to see our resources being shared with parents to help teach and role model these important behaviors to their children.

Seriously over the moon that Jon Scieszka autographed our copy of Astro Nut! When our mom (Betty Ng, Inspiring Diversity) told him that we had published a couple of books including Meet the Persevering Penguins and Pals, he encouraged us to keep at it! We will indeed persevere, Jon Scieszka! Thank you!
