"THE PREVIEW" - Sculptor Vinnie Bagwell has been leading the development for the Enslaved Africans’ Rain Garden, an urban-heritage sculpture garden for the Yonkers Downtown-Waterfront District.

This week the last three of the five life-sized sculptures "Bibi", "Sola", and "Olumide" will join "Themba the Boatman" and "I’Satta" for public viewing at the Yonkers Riverfront Library.

To celebrate this milestone with the community, in lieu of the pandemic, a virtual preview of the sculptures will be broadcasted on April 9, 2021, at 7:00 PM on the Enslaved Africans' Rain Garden page, the Vinnie Bagwell YouTube Channel, and Queue Vision Black- hosted on ROKU & Amazon Fire TV.

The virtual presentation will be hosted by WCBS-News Westchester newscaster, Tony Aiello. Five short vignettes created (to “humanize” the artworks) and narrated by spoken-word artist, Ty Gray-El, will be aired after the program.
