I provide excellent, loving and educational childcare in a preschool / afterschool setting in my home. I am in Surprise Farms just off 303 and Greenway / Bell in Surprise. I taught preschool for many years and school age for a few years; including children with special needs. I limit my census so that each child gets the loving attention they naturally need at a young age. In addition, I want to enjoy what I do, and not feel overwhelmed by it. The days are filled with many activities just like nursery / preschool, but in a loving home environment with age and developmentally appropriate activities. All home cooked, healthy meals, snacks and drinks are provided. In addition, I have years experience bringing services to babies, infants, toddlers and school age children through early intervention and Special Ed services. I was a baby nanny and childcare provider when I worked my way through college and I'm a mom, my daughter is now 17 years old. I also helped raise two nieces and a nephew for a few years during a family crisis who are now happy, healthy, productive young adults. All adults and teen in household are CPR and First Aid Certified. As I once taught special ed and exceptionally bright children, I can also accommodate most needs and meet children where they stand, educationally and emotionally, throughout all developmental domains. I especially love to help with children with separation anxiety for a few reasons. Most important, my daughter suffered from it terribly and I understand how important it is for you to know the person you are leaving your child(ren) with will be patient and reassuring. Over the course of my career, I have worked with hundreds of babies, toddlers and preschoolers and had my fair share of children with it, I found I was unusually successful at helping children resolve their anxiety pretty quickly. When we find something we are good at, it's reward in itself.
