Calder Classics: Learning Experiences in the Classics We offer online and travel courses in Latin, Greek, Ancient/Art History, and Creative Writing. Our core beliefs:
1.

CC seeks to enrich people's lives through opportunities to experience the Classics including ancient history, art, theater, literature, and science through educational travel, online courses, tutoring, college and adult Instruction, and lifestyle events. The Classics are all around us, "hiding in plain view". We call it "Classics in the Wild", an understanding of which informs and enhances appreci

ation of current events and culture.
2. Entertainment and leisure time choices that involve an educational theme are inherently more memorable and rewarding.
3. There is a strong correlation between success in high school classics study and strength in college applications.
4. Many adults would like to revisit educational themes from their college years.
4. Engaging in educational experiences, particularly travel, as a family or with a group of friends or like-minded people, is an extremely memorable and effective bonding activity.
