NYC TPM meetup featured insights from Blanca Z.- Duolingo, Jane He - Peloton Interactive, J. Stefan Crespo-Donaire,- Algolia, and Al Chen - Coda who shared very practical TPM strategies and experiences that truly highlighted the unique challenges and opportunities in our field. It was an engaging and inspiring session!
Huge thank you to the organizers TPM Trails and Coda, for putting together such a great event.
Here are some key insights and challenges we discussed:
- Projects often encounter unexpected challenges. The ability to adapt and pivot when necessary is crucial for success.
- Clear and consistent communication with stakeholders ensures alignment and helps navigate project complexities.
- With multiple priorities and limited resources, improving the skill to prioritize tasks effectively is essential for driving projects forward.
Being a TPM is a rewarding yet challenging role that requires a balance of technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Special thanks to Ayuba Audu - Coda for guidance and support !!!

The collaboration between Product Management and Engineering teams is the backbone of successful product development. Yesterday, I attended the "Effective Product and Engineering Collaboration" event hosted by Engineering Leadership NYC at SeatGeek, and it was a fantastic experience as always.
The discussions highlighted how a strong partnership between Product and Engineering can be a game-changer for any organization. Hearing from leaders like Luisa Llompart of ABB Robotics and Whitney Levine of SeatGeek was really insightful. They shared valuable experiences on aligning goals, building cross-functional relationships, and tackling common collaboration challenges. Effective Engineering Leaders don't just execute the product strategy—they actively shape it, ensuring both teams move forward with a shared vision.
As someone who deeply values cross-functional collaboration, this event reinforced the importance of Product and Engineering working hand-in-hand to create cohesive, innovative, and successful products.
Big thanks to the organizers: Asana, SeatGeek, Engineering Leadership NYC and speakers: Francisco Trindade, Luisa Llompart, Whitney Levine, Fiona Siseman, Alex Romanczuk for the practical advice on building strong partnerships between Product and Engineering teams.

Proudly sharing that I have completed my second semester with a 4.0 GPA once again, along with incredible experiences! 🎊
- I am the of the NYU SPS International Club (IC) and an NYU School of Professional Studies Graduate Orientation Leader dedicated to enhancing the experience for our students.
- I had the honor of collaborating with our esteemed Dr. Andrés Fortino, PhD, managing AI Capstone Projects for NYU MS in Management and Systems students, and at the same time learning extensively about Generative AI, the technical aspects of product management, and data science. Thank you for this invaluable experience Andrés Fortino, PhD. 😊
- As a Graduate Assistant at SPS Student Life, I organized events that helped students gain new knowledge and made their transition to hashtag and hashtag smoother. I have gained a wealth of knowledge and met many incredible professionals, colleagues, and team members who have shaped my journey and knowledge.
- I conducted two Agile Project Management courses for students in Armenia, resulting in 34% of the students being hired as project and product managers during the classes.
This semester was a true rollercoaster. Behind all these successes, I faced significant challenges, including a prolonged illness, resulting in surgery, and a leg injury that lasted weeks.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to my husband Aren A. Zomorodian, CISA, CRISC, and daughter for their endless love and support, and for always being my secret weapon.
To my best team: Sue Wais, Akim St.Omer, Katherine Guanche, Summer Hawkins, thank you for listening, guiding, always having my back, and being awesome.
A special thank you to Angie Kamath for inspiring and empowering me to be a better woman, mom, and student.
And to my best professors: 💬 Matin Dadashzadeh Alamdari, NINA HIROTA, and Moshe Rasis from whom I have learned so much and continue to learn. Thank you.
☀ Next up Summer and I eagerly preparing for the Fall semester—thank you all for your unwavering support!
