📖 What is a chapter, where did chapters start and what does a chapter do? This combination talk and workshop by Professor Nicholas Dames will try to answer those questions and, in the process, provide a capsule history of how books have been divided for the last 2,000 years. We will also explore how the chapter has captured, and also perhaps defined, the ways in which we think about the shape of our own lives. We’ll look at texts from the Bible to the novels from the last 200 years, and even perhaps a tidbit from a film or two. 📘 Register here: https://bit.ly/4loKJqM
