If your child wants to be the next Serena Williams or Roger Federer, they can start learning the basics of tennis at a local clinic.

Sunday was the first day of tennis class at the Jewish Community Center in Willowbrook.

A professional tennis instructor taught the fundamentals of the sport to local kids during a one hour session.

The drills are designed to introduce beginners to the game and polish the skills of intermediate players.

Kids say the program is making them believe they can accomplish anything.

"Sometimes I am in bed and I think like I'm dreaming of being a professional tennis player," said participant Alex Zalewski.

"I try to bring for the kids the skills that they got to play on the court for years, and years," said instructor Dmytro Marchenko

The class for beginners is held each Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

For intermediate players the class is held from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m.

PTR certified instructor presents tennis program for kids.The group will be 4-6 players.
The program divided into different level-age such as:4-6,6-8,8-10,11-17 years old.The program developed to bring the kids into the game by utilizing special racquets (19,21,23,25,27"),foam,orange,yellow,green balls,36,60,78 feet court.
Structure lesson:
20% warm up
40% skills development and teaching
30% game development
10% cool dawn.
