Taking a dance class should always leave you fulfilled in some way. Even if you just want to just stay active or actively trying to get better, you should leave feeling like your needs were met. What do you look for in a dance class? And what do you want to get out of it??

Artistic director of OnPoint Academy of Music and Movement Salahudin Nemley, starting dancing at a very young age. His audience was only extended to family functions with his older brother. They would often mimic Kid n’ Play or Scoop and Scrap (Big Daddy Kane’s dancers). Believe it or not Salahudin was very shy when it came time to dance. It wasn’t until high school where he joined the dance team that he actually developed a true passion for dance. Today Salahudin teaches in the Bronx at and is a substitute at (Alvin Ailey). While teaching Salahudin noticed that a lot of his students were disconnected from the culture that is hip hop, so he decided to create “OnPoint Academy Of Music & Movement”. A performing arts school that teaches students the history of Hip Hop and how it applies to everyday life.
