Our ARAD Program Director, Dr. Gregory-Kameka, shares her curated ARAD playlist 🤗✨🫶
You may have heard some of her favorites in office hours or during IP Defense Prep - now she shares the playlist with our ARAD community to remind us of our time at TC!
🗣️In their words: “I made this playlist to play at the recent IP Proposal defenses. Most of these are just for positive vibes, to see you through your independent study over the summer, fall and spring. However, some of them are for specific moods:
✨For international students, when you get homesick, this is what I play when I’m missing my family and friends at home: LULU | Home.
✨Prepping for the IP defense, to hype you up and make you laugh: WWE | Glorious domination.
✨For when things get particularly tough: Jimmy Cliff | Many Rivers to Cross; MEGA | Future Me.
✨To momentarily beat perfectionism: PJ Morton + Tobe Nwigwe | Practicing.
✨When you’re on a writing roll: Akil Henry & Between Worlds | In the Free
✨For when you wonder what the faculty think of you 🤪: Kaleiha | Proud of You; Tobe Nwigwe | Shine (DMW Edition).
✨For when you’re worried about what comes next: MEGA | Future Me; Tori Kelly | Confetti.
✨For when your writing gets political: Bob Marley & The Wailers | Small Axe; Koffee | The Harder They Fall.
✨For Chill Moments: Adi Goldstein | The Unspeakable World; Pachakuti & Young Vishnu | Liu; Tems | Free Mind.”

Introducing ARAD adjunct professor, Eric Oberstein, and his course, Creative Producing in the Performing Arts 🙌
In their words 🗣️ “The course is fully intended to equip students with the understanding of how to navigate the many complexities of producing artistic work in today’s landscape. We talk in great detail about the many layers and constantly shifting considerations of doing this work, how producers need to be both present in the moment to support artistic creation, but also 100 steps ahead of everyone else, having the vision, but also the ethical grounding, to do this work and to understand the complex contexts in which we do the work.”
