see ya later Brooklyn , I'm moving to Queens π
I've loved living in Clinton Hill, but ever since I started paddling with a dragonboat team in Flushing Bay, it's made less and less sense to stay, when every weekend morning is spent on the water in Queens. Even the 4:30AM weekday trips for sunrise canoing was workable until the scheduled G train shutdown.
I'm very lucky to have had such a wonderful home for 10 years, and to have it filled with so many lovely people over the years. I'll miss hosting brunches in the open kitchen, and seeing previously unconnected people become friends.
Very grateful, and I'm sure I'll find excuses to come back to run through the Navy Yard and visit Fort Greene park any chance I can get....once the G train is back running.
In the meantime, I'm going to be exploring my new neighborhood, Long Island City, and reading every historical plaque I can find

I love New York for the New Yorkers, quiet hotel lounges, and the best window shopping
Living here is a dream, and connecting with people like and John (not on social media) while turning over an embroidery order is just like dessert

Tridimensional embroidery with and is an early highlight of 2021. First time beading, using sequins, and couching and I have a ton to practice
