Hi TCC scholars and Families, Ms. Washington here. I wanted to pop in and say hello to you guys with this picture of my son and I and this amazing quote that I found to be so impactful. Families; make a point to read to your children often and always. My son and I have a routine, before bed time and after bath time he picks his 2 favorite books which have been the same books for several months. I often say “Tahj can we please read something else?” He insist on those 2 books and I’m obligated to read it with enthusiasm and lightheartedness, because that’s what he wants. Reading aloud to your children have many benefits which include but are not limited to expanding their imagination and vocabulary, as well as stimulating their understanding of the world. So guys make a point to read aloud every night. Often and always. ❤️

This week marks the beginning of teacher appreciation week. Teachers truly light the way for children to thrive develop and engage. At TCC we call our teachers TCC Specialist because they are truly special at what they do. Tccnews.com
