The ONE thing that matters for your health & fitness is ...

.. thing that you are doing 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄.

Whatever it is.

Even if that's:

- Cleaning up your desk
- Fulfilling a promise
- Shopping for groceries

Because how you do 1 thing is how you do everything.

And while every step you take won't always be your best ...

.. the more you focus on making each step a step towards your 'higher self' ...

.. the more you will emobdy that version of you.

Make no mistake about it:

This is NOT 'woo-woo'.

Getting fit, lean, and strong IS an identity shift.

Uncomfortable truth about 'Big Food':

There is NO ONE from Big Food standing in between you and the fruits & vegetables.

Except you.

The more you feed yourself with it, the more you feed that system.

I used to eat just like you.

Tons of takeout, fried foods, heavy, calorie-dense foods.

Often, extreme amounts of them.

What changed?

One milestone was:

I did the 30-day 'Paleo Challenge'.

(Paleo was 'new' back then.)

I learned a lot about what it means to remove things for a while.

But you don't have to take such an extreme step.

You can be 20% more flexible than that.

You don't wake up in the morning and think:

'I want to do cone sprinting drills.'

So you go back to bed, or get on with your day.

Instead, think:

'I need my heart & legs to be really strong when I'm 80, so I will do sprints today.'

When you think that way, there is only one course of action.

This awesome workout below crushed me in just 2:41.

Here it is. Give it a try:

"Bodyweight Ladder"

Perform 5 Rounds of each of these 4 exercises in order.

Descending Rep Counts per Round: 10, 8, 6, 4, 2.

- Pull Ups (can sub Chin Ups, assisted, or Recline Rows)
- Dips (assisted if needed)
- Squat Jump
- Lunge Jump (total reps, not per leg, so the 1st round is 5 per leg.)

💪 Under 4 minutes is excellent.

🥇 Under 3 minutes is gladiator level!

Here's the thing about 'not having time to go to the gym':

'Go to the gym' typically means 'commute there, train for 45-60 minutes, then commute back'.

Except that's not the only way.

Maybe you have toddlers and you can't leave your house for 2-3 hours at a time.

Maybe some days you only have 30, 20, 10, or even FIVE minutes.

Well, some days, 5 minutes is more than enough.

Here's something you should know about fat loss:

You don't 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑 to go 'low-carb' in order to lose fat.

What governs fat loss is 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.

Not total carb intake.

But, you don't have to believe a word I say.

Go ahead and ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, or all 3, and see what they say for yourself.

Can some people benefit from an ultra-low-carb or ketogenic diet? Yes - 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒 - but not most.

While you do that, I'll keep eating my balanced diet of healthy foods that are a blend of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates ...

.. including bananas, oatmeals, rice, pasta, fruits, vegetables, plus occasional servings of cookies, chocolate, and ice cream ...

.. along with my chicken, eggs, steak, fish, nuts, & avocados ...

1 reason you're not making progress with your fat loss is:

You default back to the good/bad 'perfection' mindset.

This is normal - it takes practices to change your thinking.

One easy way to believe in yourself and this process is:

The 'Baseline/Better/Best' framework for meals.
