REACT to FILM REACT to FILM is a 501c3 approved nonprofit that leverages the best documentary filmmaking to promote social responsibility and spark civic engagement.

The REACT to FILM screening series at the Museum of Modern Art and Soho House, the full-semester/for-credit REACT to FILM elective course taught in high schools, and the REACT to FILM network of college chapters, all aim to educate, inspire, and ultimately be a call to action for their respective audiences. All REACT to FILM programs start a dialogue to arm the audience with the requisite informat

ion to REACT positively to each film/issue, and to share this enthusiasm with others in their social networks to drive for broader change on the issue.

Now is the time to talk to your students and children about . Use the and the corresponding art by to start the conversation.
: We know that if you knock down someone’s block building, you have to help them rebuild it, you can’t just say, “sorry” and walk away. We also know that it’s important for kids to be able to make a better choice another time, and it’s grown-ups’ job to help them make better choices and to give them chances to do that. This is called Restorative Justice.

17 year old Jordan Davis was shot and killed by Michael Dunn- who owned a gun. While this trial took place the “stand your ground law” was brought up with this(above) ending quote from the judge after Dunn was found guilty. 3 1⁄2 minutes ten bullets exposes students to the realities that are happening in the world, engages them in conversation about the laws, injustice and their rights in order to inspire them to create the change that they would like to see in the world.
