We are excited to announce that applications ARE NOW OPEN for the Spring 2026 season of LIVEWIRE (Magnet’s house sketch teams)! This season will begin in February and run through July 2026.

Applications, packets, and reels are due by Wednesday, Jan 7th at 11:59pm. Auditions will run from January 16th-18th.

Teams will be announced the week of January 25th.

‘Having been raised Catholic, I have been in “recovery” for a long time: all those prayers you didn’t actually understand, those many times in that scary confessional and the constant guilt! I’m sorry if I’m not apologizing enough for it. How does a good Catholic girl navigate s*x, abortion, career, mental health or… actually talking about feelings? By singing proper church hymns, of course, with none of the lyrics changed at all!
This musical solo comedy show, fresh off of a wildly successful run at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, will get you really questioning what’s in those Hail Marys!’

Killing Janet is a sharp, funny, and intimate solo piece about a Nigerian-American woman trying to rewrite the story she has been performing her whole life. Blending comedy, personal mythmaking, and moments of ritual, the show follows Janet as she dismantles old versions of herself and steps into something freer and far less polite.

Written and performed by Omalolu “OJ” Fiki, this developmental reading offers a first glimpse into a new work-in-process that explores identity, reinvention, and the humor that gets us through both.

Behind every great idea, there are 50 other terrible ones that came first. Your Worst Idea takes the garbage, shines it up, and gives it a second chance. Each show, we’ll invite a guest to offer up a never-before-seen work of art (a poem from 7th grade! A terrible sketch! Pages from a diary!). Metal Boy will perform a live reading, then like a phoenix, spin comedy gold from its ashes.

The Blackout form is a unique take on improv that consists of a non-stop series of loosely related scenes. Much like real life, all the moods, situations, and characters disappear as mysteriously as they arrive. So get comfortable and indulge in all the large and small wonders and perils of life. 🧲 We are excited to announce that we will be holding auditions for the next season of Wednesday-night Megawatt teams in early December! 

🧲 The next Megawatt season will begin on Wednesday, December 10, and run through the end of May.

🧲 Anyone who has successfully completed Advanced Improv Level 2 before August 2024 (when it was the equivalent of TPW) or Team Performance Workshop and is not already cast on a weekend show (i.e. a weekly Magnet show consistently scheduled on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) is eligible to submit. 

🧲 NOTE: Megawatt shows are on Wednesdays at 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm. There is no 10pm Megawatt hour which means that each week 2 teams will have a bye week. As always, each season lasts 6 months and performers are expected to attend no less than 75% of all rehearsals and shows. If you anticipate missing lots of rehearsals and shows, we totally understand and would invite you to submit and audition next season. 

🧲 Still with us? Great! Auditions will take place on Friday, December 5, between 5:30pm and ~10pm. Callbacks will be on Saturday, December 6, between 3:30pm and ~8pm. Both rounds of auditions will take place at Michael Howard Studios, 152 West 25th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues), 10th Floor. 

🧲 We will do our best to accommodate everyone’s schedules but please note we can’t guarantee anyone a specific audition time. 

🧲 Submissions must be received by Wednesday, November 26 at 5pm, and notifications with assigned audition times will be sent out on Sunday, November 30.
