As many of you know I was in the food world for a spell. Many recipes and blogs just plain suck. I have 2 solid places I will look to for good recipes and info: and the app. Thats it. You know I rarely promote, but this is based on many years of following. Smart, tested and accessible recipes.

This has been a month of major losses. I just lost my Godfather Don. This is both he and my godmother Jeanne at my baptism. I have very few items that I hold dear from my painful childhood, this photo is one of them. I always felt loved by this man, he saw me, cared about me and loved me by showing up with a tender smile and twinkle in his blue eyes. This one hurts.

Hurt people hurt people.

This image guts me every time. I miss knowing she’s there. I text her all the time fully knowing she’s not on the other end of the message. I wish you knew her in spite of her mental illness. She had a way she would look at me that made me feel seen. Thank you for seeing me sister.
