Hello, hello! Long time no see! But, we have some very exciting events coming up for Fall 2025!
Do you have old tapes and films laying around in your attics or basements, but have no way to watch? Unsure of what to do with your stuff? Well, do not fear! Home Movie Day is coming up!
Join the NYU AMIA Student Chapter and Queens Public Library on October 4th from 11am - 4pm to watch home movies, learn about care for your materials, and bond with community!
The address is 20-12 Madison St, Ridgewood, NY 11385.
Bring your movies or just come to hang out! Our volunteers will help in assessing your materials as well as projection.

Exciting! Home Movie Day 2023 is coming🎉🎉. If you have home movies but can’t watch them, if you need advice to preserve them, or if you are curious about their condition, join us for Home Movie Day 2023. We will inspect and screen your home movies at the Jefferson Market Library on Sunday, October 29, 2-5 p.m. We accept 16mm, Super 8mm, VHS and MiniDV. DM us with any questions🥳🥳.

Check out our new event - Three by Three by Three Hundred: Rare 16mm Films.
The second-year student Andrew Reichel from NYU Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (MIAP) curated this screening of 16mm experimental films.
The screening is on Friday, Sep 22, at 721 Broadway, Room 674. It is free and open to the public. Scan the QR code for registration. We hope to see you there!

Happy World Day for Audiovisual Heritage! In the spirit of celebration, the NYU AMIA Student Chapter is proud to announce the inaugural issue of our online zine, which will fall in line with this year’s theme of ”Promoting inclusive, just, and peaceful societies through documentary heritage.”
We look forward to showcasing written pieces, images, video clips, art works, and more from professionals and students at all levels in the field in an online zine showcase in the spring of 2023 (details to come)!

Hello everyone! We are so excited to be back in action with our 2022 edition of Home Movie Day. Join us tomorrow, October 15th at the Queens Public Library at Forest Hills for a FREE drop-in collection assessment of your home movies! We, along with Queens Memory and Transfer Collective will provide advice on how to care for those old tapes in your closet. We can even screen them for you, too! Come visit us from 12:30-3:30🌻
