Boundless Edge Boundless Edge Ice Dancing Ensemble and School These skills are put to use in performances, first in recitals and then in semi-professional settings.

The Boundless Edge Skating School now in it’s 9th year teaches beginning students all of the Basic Skills needed to pursue a Competitive Skating career or a Performing Arts route. Students learn all of the traditional spins, jumps, turns and edges as well as unique movement developed to express theatrical choreography. Our program is especially well suited for the creative non-competitive young pe

rson. The Ensemble is a company of local skaters that models itself after a contemporary dance company. The ensemble has 6-10 members ranging in age from 12 years old to 65 years old rehearsing 1-5 hours each week. Some come to the ensemble with considerable skating experience others have moved up through the ranks of the Boundless Edge School and have been invited into the Ensemble. The Ensemble began in 2002 with a single performance held at our home rink, the Saugerties Kiwanis Ice Arena. Since that time our performance season has grown to include performances at; Mohonk Mountain House, the New Works and Young Artists series presented by the Ice Theatre of New York, Milford Pennsylvania’s Winter Festival along with two performances at our home rink in Saugerties. Over the years we have had incredible guest performers to name a few, Elin Schran’s, Boston Ice Theatre, Katherine Healy and David Lu of The Ice Theatre of New York, Gregory Wittrock, Performance Artist and Ksenia Makarova, current Russian National champion. Mohonk Mountain House has brought us together with two Olympic Champions, Nancy Kerrigan and Oksana Baiul. We have skated to the live music of “A Perfect Gift, All that is Jazz” and set the dance choreography of local artist, clyde forth onto the ice. The past two seasons, we have collaborated with Bond Street Theatre and Mike Carson Productions on theatrical choroegraphy that combined puppetry and circus performing with iceskating. These innovative works were presented by Mike Carson Productions at the Milford Winter Lights Festival in Pennsylvania. Beth Woronoff continues to create new choreography each year for the ensemble.

Figures are the ballet bar of ice skating.
Please consider supporting World Figure Sport and Beth Woronoff’s participation in this wonderful event which harkens back to the origins of the art of Figures and bridges to today by reminding us of the origins of jumping as Flying Figures and offers a venue for skating as art.
David Brown and Beth Woronoff have been creating a delicate solo to Bach’s Moonlight Sonata which Beth will premiere in the Fancy skate in Vail, Colorado.

Each skater is looking for approximately 15 people to donate approximately $100 in their honor. All donations are appreciated.

The goal is for each skater to help the World Figure Sport Society to raise funds for the 2019 World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships & Festival. The Society then grants a skater's World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships Entry to compete! Plus, we honor the skater's talents and achievements by issuing an additional (3) WFS's Entry Scholarships and (1) Book Scholarship in their honor to other skaters.
