Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) (Deadline is April 22, 2022)
Participating in SYEP is about having a fruitful and engaging summer. For six weeks, SYEP participants develop work readiness skills, gain skill competencies and explore career paths, and become financially literate- all of which can point to a better future. Participants work in sectors such as childcare, health services and offices within public, private and government agencies. SYEP participants are actively involved in learning day-to-day skills of entry-level work including tutoring, supporting classrooms activities and general administrative duties.

The New York City Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides youth between the ages 14 – 24 with paid summer employment for up to six weeks in July and August. This is a great opportunity for young adults to capitalize on their strengths, develop skills and competencies necessary to thrive in today’s job market.

Who can join?
To be eligible, candidates must be:
· 14-24 years old and reside in NYC
· Authorized to work in the US
· Students with working paper
Who needs working papers?
All students between 14 - 17 years of age must get an employment certificate in order to work
How do I get working papers?
Students:
Please see Ms. Dawson in Rm 123, Main office for the working papers application and instructions on what is needed.
