Hey everyone so unfortunately I’m not going to be able to make it to the board meeting tomorrow night due to work ( I’m an OR nurse) and unfortunately I’m on call and couldn’t get rid of it so I’m going to have to attend the next one I’m so sorry but it gives us more time to come up with more ideas!

Hey everyone Happy easter so I’m going to type something up that we can tell the Board this week since the meeting is April 19. So far we are going g to ask for armed guards , security after hours with kids getting dismissed early and also I’d like to bring up the lack of lockdown drills in UPK . please add anything else that I can add and as we get closer we can decide on a meeting place so we all go in front of the board together!

Ok so let’s start this conversation! Last year after the mass shooting at Uvalde Texas I went infront of the board to ask
For more security measures. I asked for panic buttons that teachers would wear. My thought were what if they are in the hallway or somewhere where they cannot get to a phone . I asked for automatic lock doors because the thought of someone physically getting up to lock the door while the shooter could be right there and shoot them is a problem. I also asked for security cameras that would be linked to a local police station. I even brought up a situation where a dog was roaming the halls
Of ridge elementary without anyone knowing how he got in ! That could of easily been a mass shooter . So there is definitely room for improvement with security .

Hey everyone ! In light of recent events I’ve created a page where we can all communicate and bounce ideas off of each other before presenting anything to our individual school boards. The only rule I have for this page is please do not fight over politics it will get us ano where and we all want have the same end goal. To keep our kids safe in school!
