Saturday March 16, Gaming Pathways hosted its 2nd annual Unreleased Games Arcade at , bringing together high school design students, local college developers, and indie game studios. Students playtested upcoming titles, providing valuable feedback to creators.

🎉 Exciting News! Urban Arts just secured its third USDOE EIR grant, expanding their game-changing computer science education model to middle schools nationwide.

🚀 UA is partnering with Microsoft and Minecraft Education to launch "Creative Coders," making STEM education fun and accessible for all students. Congratulations to Urban Arts for this incredible achievement!

Exciting times for gaming enthusiasts! This past month, 42 high school students involved in the Gaming Pathways program visited Microsoft Offices to learn from Xbox NYC staff about careers in gaming. Potential jobs covered by the Xbox team included social impact, digital marketing, software engineering, cloud gaming, content design and more.

Earlier, in November, College students studying game design at both The City College of New York and Hostos Community College received an exclusive invite to the Microsoft Experience Center for an event featuring lectures by ID@Xbox, including a special address from Mayor Eric Adams! 🎤🌟

These after-school gaming champs, part of the Gaming Pathways program (led by Urban Arts), bonded over shared passion, socializing, and of course, enjoying some well-deserved pizza! 🍕

Recently, The City College of New York hosted a college admissions Q&A featuring Gaming Pathways professor Nicholas Fortugno and three accomplished Urban Arts alums attending CUNY.

High school seniors learned how they can apply to City College’s new gaming program, graduate with little to no debt, and dive into NYC’s thriving digital economy with local job opportunities!
