Exciting 6-day dissection course with this group of special practitioners!
It was an epic journey making a lot of unexpected discoveries, as many of our findings were not presented in the initial report.
We all know the body is a complex system, however it is still always stunning each and every time we explore a new form.
I’m looking forward to seeing how these practitioners’ lives and careers change as a result of this exploration.

Last day of 6-day dissection course - focusing on removing the brain and spinal cord together.
Interesting finding this morning, as there appears to have been some osteomyelitis form between the cranium and dura matter.

Starting day 5 with the daily morning circle reading an entry from Gil Hedley’s book Heart of Service on introspection, and enjoying some Field Song.
Today we dive deeper into the viscera by exploring the thoracic cavity and uncovering more of what the body wants to teach us.

Day 4 wrap up!
Today was an intense day. We explored the abdominal cavity and found the above.
Interestingly enough, these were not reported on the report given in the previous post. That’s why you need to always treat the body in front of you and not only the reports!

During the second half of the dissection on day 4, we entered the abdominal cavity. These are the issues that we found inside which not listed on the initial report. It just goes to show you how much everything is connected and why you can’t rule out anything. Treat the body in front of you, not the report 🎤💥

Day 4 dissection course.
We’ve dove into the abdominal cavity to see what the above pathologies look and feel like in the human body.
Bob (not real name) is the donor/case study we’ve been researching.
Findings so far:
• adhesions between the small intestine and peritoneum along the same line where we saw scarring along the lines alba
• hardening and a right rotation of the liver
• enlarged ascending and descending colon
Looking forward to exploring and sharing more after lunch!

Start of day 3 dissection course.
We’ve started the day reflecting on how self-mastery connects to our ability to act on our call of service. This entails taking care of ourselves in order to have the ability attend to others’ needs.
This morning we continue our exploration between the superficial fascia and the deep fascia in preparation to getting into some of the deeper relationships later in the day.

Repost from
Day 1 of ELDOA 3 - Palpating the Ribs to feel for the proper tension in order setup for Rib ELDOA’s.
The articulation of the Costo-Transverse and Costo-Corporeal Joints are significant for several reasons. Some of which being to provide better quality rotation of the thoracic cage and spine, improve the quality of movement of the viscera inside the thoracic cage like the heart and lungs, and to improve the proprioceptive feedback of the ligaments of the rib cage and spine.
