Hello Everyone! My name is Ellen Azizov and I am currently doing online violin lessons for $37/half hour; $74/hour.
I have been playing piano since I was 5 years old and violin since I was 8 years old. I have played numerous types of music throughout my musical career including but not limited to: Classical, Jazz, Pop, and Bluegrass. I have a B.A in music from The College of New Jersey where I studied with Rutao Mao. I also studied with Lenuta Ciulei at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. I have performed at Avery Fisher Hall as the concertmaster of NJSYO twice and piano at Carnegie Hall as an Olympic Challenge Finalist at the age of 14. I have played with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra and I currently play with The Riverside Orchestra in Manhattan, NYC. I have spent the last 11 years dedicating my time to teaching kids and adults violin. I have experience teaching at all skill levels. My teaching philosophy is to provide students with a friendly and encouraging environment while helping students gain valuable skills for expressing themselves through music. What makes me unique is I incorporate in my lesson education how to practice in an effective way outside of the lesson, since this is something that can be challenging for students at all levels.
