Join us at 11:35 AM EST on July 20th for Cara Bernard's Session. This session describes ways choral music educators might conceive of literacy as subject specific ways to demonstrate and communicate ideas, and ensemble-specific practices. Introducing “disciplinary literacy” and “artistic literacy” as frameworks for thinking about implementing literacy in music classrooms, we outline ways in which disciplinary literacy and artistic literacy may be implemented and provide strategies for incorporating these various approaches into the choral classroom using familiar and new repertoire.

The 2021 Music Ed Tech Conference: Renew, Refresh, Rebuild is less than a week away! Sessions begin on Tuesday at 10:00 AM EST, and run through 4:00 PM EST. Join us for an exciting day filled with refreshing new ideas for the upcoming school year and during the sessions, you'll be able to interact directly with clinicians via the Q&A feature.
FAQs
How do I log into the conference?
On the day of the conference, simply visit https://www.musicedtechconference.com/login You will be prompted to enter a password, musicfirst, and from there you simply click on the session(s) you would like to attend. The link will take you directly to the Zoom webinar room.
If I can't attend the entire conference, will I be able to watch recordings?
Yes! We will be recording the sessions to that you can watch any sessions you may have missed. Some sessions you want to attend may be running concurrently with other sessions, so we want to ensure that you don't miss anything.
Do I need to download any software?
If you are accessing the conference from a PC, you do not need to download any special software. If you are accessing the conference from a mobile device, you will need to download the Zoom app prior to joining the sessions.
