Experiential Learning:

The Chanukah lessons and Mitzvot and Minhagim (customs) are best integrated with hands on learning. The Tamim Learners enjoyed practicing lighting the menorah, creating their own menorahs to take home, and shaping menorahs and dreidels out of clay. They also learned more about the process of making olive oil with Rabbi Fried.

Experiential learning enhances the children’s understanding and retention of knowledge, while fostering critical thinking and practical skills.

Following the parasha theme of welcoming others, (like Avraham invited the angels into his tent) the children made an invitation and delivered it to the Nursery class inviting them to the Tamim class on Friday. They made them a fruit party and served them, too!

One of our student’s grandparents is traveling to Israel tomorrow to make a large delivery of necessary items to our IDF soldiers. We added notes of hope, love and encouragement to the packages 💙🩵💙
