World-class workforce development is needed all over the world, including in the Philippines where there's an urgent need to train youth for future-proof jobs, reduce unemployment, diversify the economy, and give tech companies the talent they need to expand.

It was great to be at the YIO (Young Investor Organization) Annual Reunion in Miami last week to connect with impact-driven families and next-gen leaders who are eager to build meaningful legacies.

Nat Ware shared how Forte enables effective upskilling, so that people who have faced hardship can have economic mobility, gain financial freedom, and achieve their full potential. He also explained how Forte enables far more effective philanthropy than traditional scholarship endowment models, enabling 7x as many students to be helped with the same amount of capital.

How do we enable individuals to reach their full potential in a world where artificial intelligence is developing at an unprecedented rate?

This was the main topic of discussion at 'AI: Angel or Demon' - the flagship annual conference of The Innovation for Development (I+D) Foundation, where our CEO Dr. Nat Ware joined Sandra Cortesi and Fernando Valenzuela Migoya on stage for a panel moderated by the Former First Lady of Colombia, María Juliana Ruiz.

Here are some key takeaways:
•AI is accelerating job displacement and increasing the need for retraining.
•AI and other tech advances mean we need training to be extremely responsive to industry demand. In that context, it's better for education funders to pay for outcomes instead of just inputs, because it aligns incentives and enables curricula to adapt.
•There is increasing variation in the marginal cost of education, while it's increasingly easier to track results in a data-driven manner. These two trends together support a shift from a focus on inputs to a focus on outcomes in workforce development.
•Those who will succeed in the era of AI will use it in a way that hybrid AI-human work is superior to either on their own.
•There is a massive opportunity to upskill employees with AI tools to supercharge productivity.
