Flashback to an amazing day at the Staten Island Alliance for North Shore Children & Families event at the Staten Island Children's Museum! 📚⚓

Cruising Kids had the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful families, share how we support young readers, and talk about practical ways to strengthen literacy at home.

One of the highlights of the day was our Pop-Up Reading Experience, where we read I Am Enough by Grace Byers. The children's excitement, participation, and thoughtful reactions made it such a special moment.

We were also excited to give away over 50 books, helping children grow their home libraries.

We're grateful for every opportunity to be out in the community, meet families, and help more children Set Sail for Success.

As caregivers, we all want the young people in our lives to succeed. But success is about so much more than grades.

Today’s students are navigating friendships, peer pressure, communication challenges, social media, decision-making, and the growing responsibility of preparing for their future. They need the skills to think critically, communicate effectively, set goals, overcome obstacles, and lead themselves well.

That’s why we created The Leader Within.

This 9-session Literacy & Leadership Experience combines reading, writing, discussion, and real-life leadership development using principles from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Students will strengthen their literacy skills while developing habits that can positively impact their academic success, relationships, and everyday lives.

The program is intentionally kept small so that every student has the opportunity to participate, share, reflect, and grow in a supportive environment.

If you’re looking for a meaningful summer experience that helps your child develop both academically and personally, I invite you to register.
