Sigd, an Ethiopian Jewish holiday that takes place 50 days after Yom Kippur honoring the acceptance of the Torah, begins today. Sigd is a time for self reflection, spiritual renewal, and rejoicing.

We can't believe how quickly the last month has gone by!
Our Hebrew Public alumni have left the Horizons Program in Israel and are finally heading home. We missed them so much!
This picture is extra special. The hand they are sitting on is called a Hamsa. The goal of the "Hamsa Aleinu" exhibit is "to show how Israel's diversity is an integral part of its story and ethos, both within its borders and in the world."
We couldn't think of a more fitting symbol for this special summer our group had filled with Hebrew, Arabic, diversity of religion, and diversity of culture. This picture is a perfect pre-flight reminder of what brought us all together.
