Our work for this season is complete. Now, we can only hope that next year, these individuals will find something more productive to do, something that doesn’t involve poisoning our education system with their narrow minded agendas and harmful biases.
Our schools should be places of learning, growth, and inclusivity, not battlegrounds for ideological crusades. Instead of pushing divisive rhetoric and rewriting history to fit their prejudices, perhaps they could focus on real solutions: better funding for teachers, updated resources for students, and policies that actually support education rather than undermine it.
Until then, we’ll remain vigilant. Because the fight for truth, equity, and a fair education system isn’t over, it’s just on pause.
School Board Elections Upstate NY
Ensuring that individuals who endorse fascist propaganda stay off of our school boards.
School Budget Votes Matter, Even When Board Seats Go Uncontested!
This election season, many school districts have uncontested races, meaning current board members will stay in place. But don’t skip voting, the budget proposals on the ballot are just as important!
Some budgets include critical funding for:
📚 Better resources (updated textbooks, technology, and programs)
🏫 Facility upgrades (safer, modernized schools)
👩🏫 Support for teachers and students
Your YES vote can mean:
✔ Smaller class sizes
✔ Improved extracurriculars
✔ Better-equipped classrooms
Your NO vote could mean:
✖ Stagnant resources
✖ Overcrowded schools
✖ Missed opportunities for students
Check your local school budget proposal, then VOTE! Every dollar impacts our kids’ futures.

Warning: Be Careful Who You Vote for in Greece School Board Elections!
Last year, two far-right candidates with extreme views won seats on the Greece school board. This year, we must be much more careful about who we support. These candidates are backed by deep-pocketed conservative groups and do not represent the best interests of ALL students.
They push divisive agendas, ignore the needs of marginalized kids, and prioritize politics over education. Do not let them take more control.
Dear Penfield, Let’s Clear a Few Things Up.
No, yesterday’s post wasn’t from PARA or its members. *Shocking*, right? It was removed after multiple requests, not because it was false, but because your community pages were busy dragging people who had *zero* to do with it. Classic Penfield.
For those keeping score: The post laid out verifiable facts about a “pro-teacher” candidate who rallied folks to a school board meeting to bash, surprise! A teacher. A teacher already being publicly harassed and vilified. You didn’t like us pointing that out. So what was Penfield’s response? To attack… two district parents.
Neither of these parents are candidates (though maybe they should be, or maybe you wish they were, since you’re so obsessed with blaming them). But why let truth ruin a good spin, right?
This feels awfully familiar, like last year’s school board season, when a pack of you fixated on a Fairport parent. Y’all remember. So let’s be clear: Not every page calling out fascism is run by the same person. And not every Black woman in glasses at a BOE meeting is [redacted]—yeah, we saw that too. So if you stop harassing Penfield parents (please do), don’t pivot to Fairport. We’re not them either. But hey, to some of you, we all look the same, we see the confusion.
About this page: We know anonymity bugs you. It’s cute how you assume we’re just a “Penfield group,” when contributors span the county. We’ve called out chaos elsewhere too. The difference? Other districts move on, while Penfield keeps recycling the same nonsense, election after election. And the districts still stuck in the muck? At least they’ve got people with spines calling it out.
Bravery. Imagine that.
But Penfield? You’re out here making national headlines. And when we started spotlighting the mess, some of you scrambled to blame PARA. Meanwhile, we were low-key worried PARA organizers had quit, or that you’d chased them off with a guy in a gorilla suit.
Anyway, we heard from actual Penfield residents last night. Some want the truth, just “calmer,” no “opinion,” all wholesome and gift-wrapped. Sorry, but we don’t put pretty bows on racism, bigotry, or harassment. But fine. For you, Penfield, we’ll serve the facts raw: no glitter, no spin. Just the candidates’ own words and actions.
Take it, share it, or scroll on by.
Good luck out there, Penfield. You’re gonna need it.
Your concerned outsiders looking in
We’re back, and wouldn’t you know it, Penfield’s become the school board’s favorite soap opera. ASSby and “Dr.” Pace are back on their nonsense, rallying their cult of keyboard warriors and slinging the same tired conspiracy salad. Funny how ASSby’s has been obsessed with “academic excellence” when the man can barely string together a coherent sentence. Here’s to another year of trying to keep these clowns from turning the board into their personal propaganda hour. Stay vigilant, folks.
Be Sure to share and comment. It really pi**es them off🤣
Our page typically closes down each year after the elections without any closing remarks, however, this year we need to say something before we sign off. It is clear that community members in these school districts have a lot of work to do. Greece elected two hateful fascists to their board. Rush Henrietta took a stand against the budget this year, and rightfully so. Penfield almost let in two fascists. Hilton is following the same path as Greece. Even towns like Marion had Moms For Liberty candidates running. For the schools that fell under our radar this year—such as Pittsford, Fairport, Webster, East Rochester, and others—there is still much work to be done in promoting inclusivity and equity.
We've received threats via messenger and through comments. While it's nothing we can't manage, we do have some friendly advice we hope people understand. Instead of trying to pinpoint our identities, how about you focus on being better humans? You know, actually practice the religion you claim to follow since childhood. If you find our page hurtful, perhaps it's because you fall under the category of being a fascist. Do some deep reflection, take some deep breaths, and with every fiber of your being, go reflect on your actions and consider making a change. Or you can go and 🖕🏻🖕🏼🖕🏽🖕🏾🖕🏿 yourself. On behalf of all “colored” and “non colored” people. In the words of the regrettable James Ashby, Penfield school board candidate, “…But I did say colored kids based on the fact that they are referenced all the time as people of color. Maybe I didn't get the most recent memo about the ever-evolving change in language.” The memo, of course, dating back to the Civil Rights era. Hey Sarah Pace, you and James Assby wanted to focus on academics but somehow missed one of the most significant movements in history. It sounds like you both need to go back and study your history books. Wishing everyone else a great rest of the year—except the fascists.

The Klan Karenhood has come out to defend Sarah while playing the victim. Some have even created profiles to leave comments like this one. Remember, tomorrow is the vote, Penfield—pay attention.
We are explicitly highlighting the fascist tendencies in both of these candidates, who are pushing extreme right-wing talking points under the guise of focusing on academics. In reality, they are completely out of touch with what children need and are learning in school today. The educational landscape has changed significantly over the past decade; kids aren't learning or being tested the same way because education evolves with new knowledge and societal needs.
Our curriculum now includes previously excluded topics due to past racism, but these candidates are fixated on opposing diversity, inclusion, and equity. James Ashby has even referred to black kids as "colored," demonstrating his blatant racism and disconnect from modern educational needs.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential, especially given the social and emotional challenges children face today, such as school shootings, ongoing wars, genocide, and the pervasive influence of social media. Meanwhile, Sarah Pace is calling for more homework and rigorous testing—something no student has ever requested. If they actually listened to themselves, they would realize the absurdity of their positions.

This deserves an honorable mention because we're aware that when you hold a bully accountable, they often attempt to shift the blame onto you. James Ashby claims he dislikes bullies, yet in the same breath, he admits to intending to bully other candidates. It's truly unbelievable.

"Dr." Sarah Pace, do you have any comments, or did you join the race to increase the number of white people on the board? Your partner Ashby claimed that having four Black women on the board is racist. This is where some DEI training would have been beneficial, as one of those four women isn't Black. However, to Ashby, her brown skin is all that matters.
