When I help clients create boundaries, this often comes up - they don’t want to offend the other person but they are also not happy with the behavior. It’s important to know and understand the level of emotional maturity the other person has - and if they are lacking some skills in this area, you can teach them by modeling the behavior to them.

I have clients who judge themselves for experiencing negative emotions like jealousy or anxiety however we have to face those feelings first and allow them to move through us rather than repress them (because things always come back up to the surface anyway).

Teaching others to move through their unwanted emotions and helping them get clear on how to regulate emotionally is one of the many things I do…….feel free to follow me if any of this resonates!

Many moms tend to prioritize their kids needs over their own. It’s completely understandable why we do this, but it’s important to put some effort into things that interest us. Our needs are important too - but the guilt doesn’t always allow us to embrace this concept.

Love this so much. It’s ok to feel all the feelings. 🩷

Good morning, soul family,

It is ok - and I would venture to say that it’s NORMAL - to experience a wide range of emotions during the holiday. As humans we experience conflict with family and friends, grief from loss when they transition from Earth to Heaven, joy watching children open gifts, to the pain of not having a family to be with on the holiday.

And the older I get, the more I understand that we can be both in a place of mourning AND experience gratitude, happiness, even joy.

This is the beauty of the human experience. 🙏

So, no matter what you are experiencing this holiday weekend, I want you to know that it’s ok.

It’s ok to grieve and miss loved ones.
It’s ok to feel joy.
It’s ok to feel hurt or disappointed.
It’s ok to feel happiness.
It’s ok to feel deep sadness.
And it’s ok to experience all. 💜
