The impact of 9/11 was hardest felt in the City of New York, but the ripples of that impact were felt around the world. I can remember being in the 7th grade heading down the stairs to my Theater class in my hometown of Dayton, Ohio. I will never forget how that felt, I will never forget the smell of the air, and I will never forget the tension/emotion/unity felt among humankind. Chadwick Boseman, known for his role as King T'Challa in Marvel's "Black Panther," has died after a four-year battle with cancer. Although he played Black icons such as James Brown, Thurgood Marshall and Jackie Robinson, it was "the honor of his career" to play King T'Challa in "Black Panther." In his honor we will be hosting a “Black Panther” dress up day. Tomorrow (9/11) we are asking scholars to wear any and all black panther apparel. Some examples of Black Panther apparel:
• Black Panther T-shirts/Sweatshirts
• Black Panther costumes(You can wear your mask briefly but we still need to see your face)
• All black T-shirts
• Wakanda T-shirts/ SweatShirts
