Happy Winter Monday!
Today bringing you a sunshine here with my one of all time favorite series ( and the best seller to boot).
“Woodstock Girls” series was born during the first months of the pandemic, when we lived in our country house in the Catskills mountains of Woodstock. It was an unusual surreal time and that is when I started drawing again after a very long pause.
Appropriately, Woodstock Girls became an inspiration. And it has been a much loved series. In fact most of my clients buy it “ in bulk”, because, well, because it’s Love Peace and Music 🎨

My favorite one. I’m partial to this, because it looks like a fairy shoes. Elegant and ethereal and if anyone wants to go into business with me, I can produce these. Also done for competition. ( btw, the names on all of these due to the requirement of the competition)
Va bene’! Che belle 🫶

And the second one. This is also from trio. Sexy and sultry and aqua. Who doesn’t like aqua?! I don’t know such person.
In all seriousness, designing shoes is fun and complicated and all around fabulous. I have done it and it was the best job I ever had. I’m still dreaming of designing my own shoes line. Allora! Enjoy 💋

Happy Friday🧘🏻
I want to say, now for my favorite part, but honestly they’re all my favorite. But, seriously, shoes! SHOES! Who doesn’t like them?!
These I designed for competition. It was more of a design and not illustration competition, so the drawing is fairly straightforward. ( and as an educator, I try to instill the basis of how things constructed and made, so straightforward is extremely important).
I would do something more lovely and lively if I was illustrating them.
And, listen, I didn’t win, but I got the shoes 😉

This is a very special illo for me. It was commissioned by one of my best friends for her fledgling sleepwear line. Gorgeous and funky at the same time.
And I absolutely loved creating it 🤎🌹🤎

I wanted to include these girls in today’s trio, because the vivid patterns is theme that binds these different illustration styles.
These are decidedly *not* my designs. and are the masters behind these ( by now retro) creations.
But, time notwithstanding, these are gorgeous and timeless. And I adore this drawing. Hope you will as well🌹

Of course, not to forget my roots, I am a fashion designer by education, experience and calling.
So as I’m introducing some of my work, a lot of it is not just illustration, but also a design. My first love ❤️
Case in point, I improvised my own designs in this commissioned inspired by the clients fabric design. Client grew up in Nantucket, that most gorgeous of New England treasures, and so their fabric was designed with the details related to the islands specific mood.
In turn, my designs captured the island’s summer vibe ⛵️

And now for a main event. Right before the holidays and I collaborated on this image representing Sylvia’s growing styling and closet reimagining business
What can I say, it was a treat!
I loved Sylvia’s style and her je ne sais quoi forever, so collaboration was a no-brainer.
Thanks Sylvia for trusting me❤️
I’m so fortunate to have my clients believe in me when they commission my art. It is a privilege and a mission all in one. Love my clients

Today we’re doing something different. The theme, for a lack of a better word… Tres’ French.
This is a drawing I did of a French influencer stylist extraordinaire from DC
It was inspired by one of her photos and I made it and gifted it to Sylvia about a year ago.
This year as I’ve been building up the business in every social event , meeting clients, this illustration has been garnering the most attention. Ladies love Chanel, they tell me. “Oh, I just love anything French”… so French we’ll do.
This also gave birth to the custom illustration part of my business. Which has become my favorite ( so feel free to inquire the details)
Bon chic, bon genre 🥂
